Why participate in a research project ?

Two main reasons why you should embark upon a European project :

  • The development of your product/service portfolio via a strategically beneficial project that requires skills and competences which match yours.
  • The financial lever: the financing of part of your investment or the maximisation of your investment with an even more ambitious project.

Furthermore, participating in a European project offers a certain number of other opportunities, whatever your status (small, medium or large company, university, research centre, public authority…). The list below provides a non-exhaustive overview :

  • Integrate a network of organisations accustomed to submitting European projects
  • Extend your expert network
  • Finance your R&D
  • Integrate new markets
  • Be at the cutting-edge of innovation
  • Reinforce your know-how
  • Reinforce your brand image and renown
  • Make contact with the leading international players in your field
  • Be active in various future initiatives identified by the EU

Two possible strategies : Coordinator or partner ?

Coordinator :
You will head the project and have important decision-making and managerial powers. The investment is appreciable but has enormous benefits in terms of contacts, opportunities and the raising of your profile.

Partner :
The investment in the writing of the proposal can be focused solely on your technology and your expectations of development. Equally, your investment in the management of administrative and financial matters during the project will be kept to a strict minimum. You will therefore be able to concentrate on your cutting-edge technology.

Our advise

One project (whether financed or not) leads to another. Working on a project gives you visibility. Consortia seeking for skills and competences will then be able to find you more easily in the future.
